Raving songstress Seyi Shay continues waving the Nigerian flag highest wherever she goes and in her latest project she joins artists from around the world including Gigi Lamayne and Moneoa from South Africa, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez from Sri Lanka, M.O from the UK, Taylor Hatala from Canada and Larsen Thompson from the USA to collaborate on a remake of the Spice Girls’ Wannabevideo done 20 years ago. The video called #WhatiReallyReallyWant will be viewed by world leaders in September 2016 during the Global Goals week telling them what girls and women really really want in 2016.

Akpos Okudu presents S/S 16 “Wanderlust” Lookbook

After presenting “Wanderlust” at the Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week, the self-named womenswear label presents us with the lookbook.

Okudu says the collection is inspired by pink skies and sunsets. “It has to do with a mood and feeling more than anything,” she says.

For the SS 16 season, the collection features finely embellished lace dresses in vibrant colours including dusty pink, nude, and salmon.

9 Die in Stampede During Eid Celebration in Ghana

At least nine people died in Ghana on Thursday during a stampede at festivities celebrating the end of Ramadan in Kumasi, the country’s second-largest city, local minister Mubarak Muntaka said.

Survivors said the panic broke out at about 2AM after electricity was cut to the venue, some 280 kilometres North of the capital Accra.

Muntaka said that organisers of the gathering flouted security orders to end a carnival for the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr, when they relocated several kilometres away to the city’s Asawase community centre.

Witnesses said several people fell and were trampled on as others tried to escape the overcrowded venue through a small exit.

Uganda’s diva AVM has released the music video for her hit single “Tuzine (Let’s Dance)” featuring Big Pand produced Fliptyce.

“Tuzine” means “Let’s Dance” in Uganda and dancing is what exactly what the song will make you do.

She says, “No doubt, Tuzine is my biggest track thus far. It was produced by award-winning music producer Fliptyce from Nigeria and it features one of the first mainstream U.K afrobeats artistes Big P. This song is already taking Uganda, the rest of Africa and the U.K by storm. It is a blessing to have both of these two talents to be part of my project and I promise you will love it.”
