The awards for the African categories of the 2016 BET Awards were held a day before the main event at the Microsoft Theater, on Sunday but that didn’t prevent our stars from showing up at the event in Style.

African Stars At At The BET International “Sounds of Africa” Exhibit Grand Opening & 24th International Nominee Reception

International artists attended the BET International “Sounds of Africa” exhibit grand opening as well as the 24th International nominee reception. The event was attended by Nigeria’s own Yemi Alade, South African starsBonang Matheba, Nandi Mngoma, Nomzamo Mbatha as well as Tanzanian singer Diamond Platinumz and so many more African stars.

African Stars Take Over In L.A For BET Awards 2016

2016 BET Awards is on its way on on June 26, in Los Angeles and our African stars are so involved this year and it makes it all the more exciting to keep up with the BET experience. So far several stars have been spotted in L.A as they prepare for the show. Maria Okan, Tosin Ajibade, Ehiz, AKA, Bonang Matheba, Nandi Mngoma, Lerato Kganyago and more have started sharing updates from their BET experience.

Basketmouth & Cynthia Bailey Announced As AFRIMMA 2016 Hosts

The countdown to the 3rd African Muzik Magazine Awards AFRIMMA 2016 is officially on as AFRIMMA announces the host and co-host of this year’s award showpiece in Dallas. Africa’s King of Comedy Bright Okpocha aka Basketmouth would be hosting the biggest African music awards in Diaspora for the third year running and he would be joined by the delectable Cynthia Bailey, American reality tv star.

New Video; AVM – Tuzine (Let’s Dance) ft. Big P & Fliptyce

Uganda’s diva AVM has released the music video for her hit single “Tuzine (Let’s Dance)” featuring Big Pand produced Fliptyce.

“Tuzine” means “Let’s Dance” in Uganda and dancing is what exactly what the song will make you do.

She says, “No doubt, Tuzine is my biggest track thus far. It was produced by award-winning music producer Fliptyce from Nigeria and it features one of the first mainstream U.K afrobeats artistes Big P. This song is already taking Uganda, the rest of Africa and the U.K by storm. It is a blessing to have both of these two talents to be part of my project and I promise you will love it.”

She was up against Ghanaian actress Joselyn Dumas in a race to win the ‘Lip Sync Battle Africa‘ belt.

For her performance, Joselyn Dumas left the crowd gassed with her lip sync to Oleku by Ice Prince in a bid to win the Lip Sync Battle Africa belt against Funke Akindele.
